Need drivers for brand new logic board injected in Windows 7

I installed the win update and then reinstalled the two others.

I am not sure if it worked because the Win 7 OS is so confused, it thinks all the drives it can see need serious fixing and want to repair them all with long scans. It's done that before and the last time I booted to Win 10, it gave me a BoD. I rebooted, it did a quick auto repair and has booted fine since. But, I am afraid that Win 7 is going to screw up my Win 10 drive if I let it see it. I guess I need to remove the Win 10 to test and then see if the USB works. If it does, maybe I can get it fully updated. If I can find drivers that match the new Gigabyte motherboard.

Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Elite
Intel Z490 Chipset
iTE I/O controller chip.

Previous board:
Gigabyte z77x-dh3
Intel® Z77 Express Chipset
VIA VL800 chip for USB

The drivers didn't enable USB in Win 7.

On a side note, I think the first time I walked through this, I put them on the Win 10 drive. Do I need to remove them ? If so, what specifically are they called in the list, once installed ?

I must be missing something.

That is my illustration.

There isn't a screenshot showing how you managed to get " Loading Registration Files Failed " error.

Nope. It happens when I click load, as shown in your illustration. Box pops up and tells me over the top of the screen you show.

You are supposed run O&O in win10. Then click ... and browse to the Windows folder on the windows 7 partition.

We can't tell what you are doing unless you provide a screenshot.

That is precisely what I did. How I did it was by following those steps. I even tried "registering" online to see if some registration steps were needed to allow the program to do what I wanted. That didn't help. I didn't think it would, but I had to try.

I would like to know if accidentally pushing out drivers for Win 7 to the Win 10 partition will cause a problem.

I didn't take a screen shot. I wasn't aware I would need proof. The drive isn't in the computer, right now. I'll have to reinstall it. If that's what it takes for you to believe I'm not making it up, I guess I'll have to.

That is not the windows folder. You pointed at the wrong place, so it can't find the hives.

The path is not E:\

If win 7 is installed on E partition, the correct path is E:\Windows

Thank you.

That allowed it to be changed. Still no USB support. Is the chipset I listed above supported by the drivers I've tried to install ?

What mostly concerns me is that when Win 7 boots, it tries to fix all the other partitions on all the other devices, which can hose up the new Win 10 hard drive. I wonder if the current version of Win 10 is so different that this version of 7 thinks it's broken and tries to " fix " and messes up the boot sector. Just a guess.

I guess I'm on my own, from now on. I'll read up on DISM and see what I can do. Gigabyte might have newer drivers.
