Hi everyone,

Well i just today reformatted my old computer of XP to Windows 7 RTM.
I installed it with no problems and then i couldn't install some drivers as they were not updated and could not be compatible with windows 7 such as the AMDk8 Processor.

The PC already has a wireless adapter connected to it and when i was searching for my router, it picked it up with full connection and it connected. but it said no internet access. (Using a Atheros AR5005g Adapter; TP-Link) (Modem is Iconnect 622; Router is Asus)

After trying to find a solution for the wireless, i tried downloading an updated driver, yet nothing found. So i left the computer for about 3 hours and when i logged on the internet was connected. This lasted for about 3 hours and during this time i was deleting the Windows folder from the backing up from the XP.

When my modem synced out, i reseted the computer and also the modem and when i logged back on, it went back to it's original state of being connected but having "no internet access".

I'm not sure if what i deleted caused the issue to return, but just wondering if anyone have the same problem or can find a solution.

Much appreciated!!!

open network and sharing. delete the old connection.
on the left side use the make a new connection. when ask make sure you enter the required ISP Log name and password. 99.9% of the time this will accept reset the modem to a new config. make sure you then set all the devices to not turn off. (this is default) your adapter and all.

lol well mate, i think i followed your instructions and it just worked!
but i don't know for how long though cos my modem is a bit faulty, need to get another!
i just deleted the network, and installed it back, that didn't work so i just resetted the modem from the back. Restarted it and yeah came back to it with it working!
Thanks alot dude, just hope it holds up!
