need help setting up something

I didn't need to define IP for me eeepc to connect to my W7 ad-hoc. I don't know if it's ncessary.

well whether its necessary or not my WLAN is telling me its not connected to the ad-hoc. or rather the thing says "Not Connected" in general. since it says waiting for users i go to my DS and try to connect and i get the error code 51300 again.

I had major issues (and still could find a solution) with doing the same with my iphone. I simply cannot connect my iphone to my adhoc networking. Another member also couldn't. He end up using the Connectify software.

I tried puting in IP on my iphone too but they doesn't seem to do anything.

Could it be something to do with the devices ability to detect the type of security you have elected to have for your ad-hoc. I believe so, at least for my iphone. Not sure about your devices.
