So my computer was working fine for the past 3 years, and now this problem just suddenly happened

Running on core i7 950, 12gb ram, 2TB harddisk, nvidia gforce 450 display card

So my problem only occurred recently and also quite randomly, Im not sure what triggered it, but sometimes and completely unpredictably, my cursor will not display the correct icon when hovering over something and also the cursor will not be where im actually pointing, then my computer will freeze periodically, like every minute it freezes for 5-10 seconds

its something to do with the mouse and starting new programs, Im actually typing this under this cursor freeze situation, no freeze so far when im only typing, but insta freeze when i try to move my mouse or start new programs

I dont see any suspicious activity in my task manager
Tried to use ccleaner, didnt help
Did a SFC /scannow, no corruption found, and didnt solve the problem
Done around a dozen scans using malwarebyte and notable online scanners (eg. eset) no virus found
Can't seem to find any errors in the windows event viewer

The only recent change I made to my computer is that I changed my internet from a using a lan line to a wifi, another thing i noticed though, is that this seems to occur mostly when im using firefox, I played skyrim for 6 hours yesterday and this freeze problem did not occur

Im usually able to find out what is happening using event viewer and process explorer, but this time I have no idea what is going on

please help

After further study of the windows event viewer logs, I discovered the that the windows error reporting service seems to have started and stopped many times over

Also, in the systems log, these are the only errors today
Code:
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
ProtectorA

Code:
The atksgt service failed to start due to the following error:
This driver has been blocked from loading

Code:
The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\Video5
!06d7(2640)

Restarting my computer solves the problem temporarily until something triggers it again and i get freezes again

I have the same issue. I ran every scan known to man in safe mode and blew the dust out of my tower and it stopped...until today.
