I've been coming to this forum for a few years without joining. I've always found good advise and answers just by reading the threads, but I'm at a bit of a loss on this and confused as to how to fix this. I have a Linksys media bridge and it is continuously giving me problems by not running certain files at start up. I put the shortcuts in the start up folder but they disappear after awhile. I tried to create a task in task scheduler, but don't see a way to do this properly. Someone had mentioned a creating a batch file, but I'm not sure that's the ticket either. Would really appreciate some input/advise on how to proceed.

I need to run three files at start up in the following order and they must continue to run until I shut them down. They are all on Run as Administrator and in compatibility mode for WinXP SP2. They do work well when they start properly, but getting them permanently configured is a chore so far and many times I have to start them manually. Unfortunately, Linksys, in their infinite wisdom, has not seen fit to put out upgrades for this software.

cmas2ds.exe
CmFlywav.exe
WMB54G.exe

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello Windwood, and welcome to Seven Forums.

The issue is with them running as administrator. By default, Windows will not run anything at startup that is elevated (Run as administrator).

You could use the tutorial below as a workaround to do so for each .exe though . Use the created elevated shortcuts for each .exe, then use the "run at startup as a task" option in step 23.

Hope this helps, :)
