I have a friend I am trying to setup a dual monitor setup for, and while I got it setup for the most part there is a could quirky things I cannot figure out.

His setup is an HP desktop computer with a Nvidia card with both VGA and DVI outputs. His primary monitor (DVI) is setup in landscape while his new secondary monitor (vga) is setup landscape. The desktop is setup as extended.

His goal is to run 1 application on the secondary monitor all the time, which is a Schwab investment program and use the primary monitor for everything else. So before I setup the secondary monitor, he would have the Schwab program opened up maximized to the now primary monitor, so when you maximize it on the new secondary monitor, it is displaying as if it is being viewed on the portrait orientation. So then you have to start it on the primary monitor, resize it and drag it to the secondary monitor.

My question is, is there any way to change the way this application is opening so he can just click maximize and have it fill the secondary landscaped monitor?

Does the app open up full screen on the primary or does it do the same?

On the primary it will open up maximized and fill the screen since it is setup in portrait and that is what the application is used to I guess.

Ok, you said both were landscape in the first post.

There are a few multi monitor apps you can try, Ultramon, display fusion, and some others.
There are settings in the apps to control where a program starts.

I would give them a shot.

Oops, my bad sorry. I will try one of those progams. I was kind of hoping it was something I could do from within windows, but Thanks.
