Need help with CBS.LOG issue

Greetings,

I am having what I think is multiple issues with my pc. I have ran anti malware program(s), they say that I am good to go. However, certain issues keep arising. For starters I am getting a "there was a problem starting werconcpl.dll" as well as a "MMC has detected an error in snap-in and will unload it". So after searching around I was told to run a SFC Scannow. After doing so I received the "windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. I have no idea how to read the CBS.LOG or what to do next.... I have attached the CBS.log anyone that could provide some assistance it would be greatly appreciated.

I'd run sfc 3 times in a row and restart between each new run and see if any more errors get fixed then post a new report.

Hey Thrashzone,

Thanks for helping me with the issue. I ran the SFC /scannow three times and restarted after each. I have attached the log. (I ran it a few times in previous days so the log is longer than 3 scans. Scan still said it was unable to fix issues. Let me know what I should try next. Thanks

Let me ask you some questions, as you are claiming windows10 in your system specs; Is the machine you're having this problem with,

• An extra win7 machine of yours,

• A friends win7 machine or

• Is the machine that is having this problem have win10 as its operating system (OS)?

Even if you upgraded from 7 to 10 it would be considered a win10 machine and you would do better if you registered, if you haven't already, at our sister forum TenForums. Then start a new thread at Performance & Maintenance or Windows Updates and Activation as this has a bearing with the .CBS logs.

With all that being said; Your issue seems to be a mismatch between either WSUS versions or a product ID/signatures associated with TiWorker/TiLight, which is the Windows Modules Installer Worker, that's why you saw the snap-in error, did you see any large windows errors in red with a code like 0x800B0001?

You could try running the DISM commands (CMDs) for win10 or the SURT tool for win7, it's all here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/947821#bookmark-checksur

If you are working with win7 it might help if you contact one of the Mods to have your thread moved to: Windows Updates & Activation for increased visibility. Just click on the scales

at the upper right hand corner of your post and ask to have your thread moved.

I do have windows 10 but it seemed like the errors I was receiving were windows 7 errors. Not really sure... not a huge computer guy. Thanks for the direction. I will post on ten forums.

The errors that occur would look similar to win7, but the deciding factor on how to proceed always rests with which operating system (OS) is running on the machine.
