Need help with installing software cant enter admin password

well im still stuck as a standard user but gotten used to it. I am trying to make a USB boot disk but the program requires a admin password when it it says "to continue type a administrators password then click yes then normally below it there should be accounts to pick and areas next to the account you can type for the password but there are no accounts there and there isn't a area so I can type the password any suggestions. Really appreciate it.w

Hello johnnie79880 , Welcome to the Forums.. Do you have an Admin account in your user accounts to use ?

johnnie do you mean a rescue disk??

Otherwise as Yarddog says mate in User accounts there should be a list of users one is or should be titled Administrator

Good question David every machine that I have had or set up has me as the admin whether I have been unconsciously doing this during the install or when the store has set these machines up it has been done I don't know
