Need help with system restore

A friend of mine gave me this dell inspiron all in one to restore. He didn't have any CD and it was password locked. The previous owners at his business left it behind and didn't want it back. So I downloaded a copy of windows 7, burned it onto a dvd, and restored the PC. But the end result is this completely unusable version of windows 7. It won't recognize the correct screen resolution, and it wont connect to the internet via ethernet. I pretty much can't do anything about it.

Any ideas?

sure.. you can download driver download softwares ... umm like..3dchip or ..drivermax and get all the drivers to be installed

How are you going to activate Windows after you get it stabilized?

Did you download Windows from Digital River? Or from some other source?
