Need help with Task Scheduler

I have been using the Task Scheduler as an alarm clock for years, by having it play an .mp3 file to wake me up. Due to my own "PEBKAC" error (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair), I lost all of my mp3 files. No big loss, as I still have all of my .FLAC files. Herein lies the problem though:

Windows Media Player is always set as the default to play audio files through the Task Scheduler, and it does not support FLAC natively. Instead, I use VLC Media Player to handle playback of FLAC files. No matter what I have tried, I am not able to get VLC to play my music to wake me up by using the Task Scheduler.

Is there something I am missing here? Do I need to set the Task Scheduler to run vlc.exe instead, and try to figure out how to get it play my music through an argument?

Thanks for any help in this matter!

Sorry for answering my own thread here, but I finally figured it out.

Under the Actions tab, you have to set it to run vlc.exe. Then, add the file you want to play in the aurguments surrounded by quotes.

Example:

Program/script:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe"

Add Arguments (optional) "C:/Users/UserName/Music/xxx.flac"

This will work for running any type of file that VLC will play.
