I would like to change the text/image that says "Starting Windows" when Windows 7 first starts. I don't want to change the animation, just the text. Does anyone know how to do this?
A quick search on Google reveals this YouTube video. I have not done it myself, so can't vouch for the procedure. Also, there are comments to the video, which seem to be relevant to you.
There is probably a way but really I'm wondering why, it only stays there a few moments. IMHO it is risky changing things when first booting unless that option is a built in part of the O/S.

It has been my experience that a large number of problems have been caused by trying to improve the system. My advice would be to enjoy what you have, rather than to take a chance of causing a much more serious problem.
Changing things during startup can cause major problems in your system. I wouldn't do it, rather change the logon screen text where it says your windows version. I think theres a tutorial somewhere on these forums.
