I did not know which forum to post in for my problem. Sorry if this is the wrong one. :D

I recently tried to relocate my data folders and something went wrong. When I was done I had dble folders. This is a picture of the results.

I moved them back to it's original place. I want to be able to move them a separate partician. I know that the problem has something to do with paths being incorrect.

When I click on the start menu and on my username icon it opens up my real user folders and not Libraries. I wonder if this is a clue. I have returned the start menu customizations to default and it still opens my user folders. Can someone help me figure this out?

Thanks.

Hi ariel5345

Have a look at this - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...der-buttons-open-users-instead-libraries.html The second set of .reg files will reset your start menu open locations.

This should help put your user folders back to their default location - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/18583-user-folders-restore-default-location.html

Follow this excellent tutorial to help move your user folders successfully - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/18629-user-folders-change-default-location.html

Post back with any questions

Danny

Hello ariel5345

By default clicking your username in the start menu would open your C:\Users\Username folder, unless you have moved your user profile to another location.
Documents,Pictures,Music and Videos in the start menu by default open their respective library again unless you used the tutorial above to open user folder instead.
Downloads and favourites by default open their respective folder in C:\Users\Username again unless you moved your data folders to another location.
Recorded TV by default opens C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV library as its presumed these would be shared files.

Hope this helps

Danny

Thanks guys that helps. I was under the impression that Libraries would open when clicking my User name. I swear I saw it in a tutorial by Brink in where he right clicked/open and then libraries would open. Well Danny it looks like all my folders are in the right path. I will try to move them again. I did have duplicates but I deleted the right ones and left the right ones and everything works so far.
