I'm pretty sure I need to install another video card, in able to have 2 monitors. Need recommendation on which card to get that will work with the current setup. No gaming, just working, so do not need anything special.

The computer is Compaq Presario CQ5600Y
Windows 7 Professional x64
AMD Athlon II 170u Processor, 2000 Mhz
BIOS Version Phoenix Technologies, LTD 5.59, 5/20/2010
RAM 2.00 GB
NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

Thank you for your help

JWittek, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Looking at the specs for your computer,

Compaq Presario CQ5600Y Desktop PC Product Specifications Compaq Presario CQ5600Y Desktop PC | HP® Support

it only has a VGA port for connecting a monitor. As a result yes you will need a video card if you want to connect two monitors. It also has one PCI-E 16x slot, so you can easily add a card.

Now with that said the power supply that is in it limits what you can add, without upgrading the PSU as well. For a card something like a Geforce 610 or a Radeon HD 5450 should be fine with that PSU, as both are very low power requirement cards. They won't do much of anything for gaming, but are ideal for multi-monitor.
