Nero 8 not working

Can't remember for sure - without actually burning a disk! but I think the drawer opens and you have to push it shut and then it verifies.

You don't have to have the box ticked but verifying ensures that the burned disk is the same as the original. Though I haven't had a failure yet with ImgBurn.

Glad you like it - Nero used to be good years back but now is very bloated.

Yeah, you are right, its best to check it and know its done correctly.

Do you know how to get rid of the unusable NERO icons that appear in Autoplay??
I have uninstalled it but they still appear??

This would require manually poking through registry, so if you're not comfortable with it, leave it xD
But doesn't Nero have a removal tool or something? Let me check, I forgot...

After that you should restart the PC and test AutoPlay, if the options are still there, you can use CCcleaner to scan the registry and delete any errors referring to Nero.
