A system update with the Windows flash, failed because it was unable to transfer many files on the "Transfering settings and files" auto start operation. Therefore, quite a few programs are not able to start. I tried to reinstall them, but some need .Net Framework 4.5.2, which fails to install. I am uploading the two files as per the failing notice:

"Exe Log File: dd_SetupUtility.txt MSI (B:\ed9c3343599f4b7a96b80e5766a4\netfx_Full_GDR_x64.msi) Installation failed. Msi Log: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 Setup_20221016_143422697-MSI_netfx_Full_GDR_x64.msi.txt
Final Result: Installation failed with error code: (0x80070643), "Fatal error during installation. " (Elapsed time: 0 00:01:35)."

Any help to avoid a new install will be much appreciated.

A system update with the Windows flash

Trying to decipher that.

Do you mean you performed an upgrade install using installation media on a usb stick ?

When upgrading the same version it is called a "repair install".
Repair Install Tutorial

If the installation media you used hasn't already been updated then you will need to manually install a few updates before going further.

for example:
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/...ut-the-latest-windows-update-client-installed

alternatively, popular methods of updating fresh win7 include using Dism++ ( atttached to the bottom of all my posts )

or simplix update pack https://update7.simplix.info/UpdatePack7R2.exe

Yes, as I said, I tried a system update () with the Windows flash, failed because it was unable to transfer many files on the "Transfering settings and files" auto start operation.

All updates are on the USB flash.

If I can install .Net Framework 4.5.2 I can repair the other programs. First, I am going to follow your links, but it gives the error I mentioned on my first post. Have you found why on the logs?

The log says "A later version of Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 is already installed."

Maybe that's the cause.

Some basic advices regarding .NET Framework

- Try installing the latest version wich is 4.8:
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2088631

- Try removing previous versions if you suspect the current "installed" version is broken:
Download Microsoft .NET Framework Cleanup Tool 05-17-2018

- Try fixing the current dot net installation:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135

- You can view current detected installations with:
GitHub - jmalarcon/DotNetVersions: Command line tool that shows the currently installed "classic" .NET versions in your system

- Enable ".Net Framework 3.5.1" in Program and Features - > Windows Features, in control panel if you haven't already.
