I have been trying to install the .NET Framework for multiple games, but it always fails to install. I have tried to install 4.0, 4.5 and 4.6. Each time, it says: "A fatal error has occurred during installation." Event Log says a newer version is already installed. Windows Update can't install it either, returning error code 643. Programs and Features says I don't have the .NET Framework whatsoever. I am attempting to remove the .NET Framework 3.5 via Windows Update > Installed Updates but it can't find it. On my list of Update History, it said its install was successful. For more detail, just ask.

Thanks in advance,
David W

I am currently running the NetFxTool, and is isn't helping. It doesn't know the problem. The error code is listed on that MSDN article, but the registry keys I have to check are correct!

Nevermind. I decided to reset my PC as I had accumulated some junk over time and it works now. I think the installer thought I had it when I didn't.
