.NET version 1.1 and 4.0 installed

I was combing through my programs and features to look for things to get rid of, and I noticed I have .NET version 1.1 and 4.0. I know 4.0 is compatible with anything using an earlier version, but is it safe to uninstall 1.1 without any problems?

Welcome to Seven Forums Kenjialpha. I would leave it be. Different programs use different versions of .net, some need older versions installed.
