wireless connection failed

Yes. Phones laptop and tablet connect wirelessly. problem is with a desktop and Dlink wireless adapter. the network adapter was checked yesterday by a Geek Squader at Best Buy. It's working.

when I use the dLink wireless connection utility it says I'm connected. But the Windows Network and Sharing Center says I'm not and fails to do so when I try.

I'll try in Safe Mode..

Try booting with Linux Mint MATE DVD/USB to eliminate hardware fault. If it is working try the next.

Run Download Complete Internet Repair - MajorGeeks as admin, select:
- Reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
- Repair Winsock
- Reset Windows Firewall Conf.
