I've been aware for about a week of my computer's seeming sudden inability to go to sleep. Slow learner that I am, I finally realized, okay, it was a week ago that I replaced my old HP printer with a Canon iP4820.

- Is/could the Canon printer be the reason my computer fails to sleep so much lately? (looks like answer is yes)
- What can I do, without overly compromising printer function, to have it stop taking over my O/S so much?
