New hdd not showing up in my computer

Just got a new seagate 500gb hdd. It shows up in bios, and device manager, but not in my computer. I think this should be easy enough to solve, do I need to format it or anything?

Probably. Instead of Device Manager look instead at Disk Management. It will tell you if it's not formatted, or if it is formatted will let you assign a drive letter.

ok got it formatted, but accidently made it a dynamic disk instead of basic. What exactly is a dynamic disk?

Turn it back to basic.

Whenever you add a brand new disk to a system, questions will pop up, slow down, read the messages.
