Hello,

Well I don't know much about computers but I know there is something not right with mine. A little over a week we moved into a new house and when I got the internet back online something was wrong with my computer. I bunch of my programs have been uninstalled, like itunes, all my microsoft stuff. When I clicked on the shortcuts, it said that the file had been moved or changed and that the shortcut didn't work. I reinstalled itunes, a bunch of other stuff including microsoft works. Once I tried to use it, I can only save on wps file, it won't le be save under doc and I can't open any of my doc files. I have gotten a couple of error messages saying that the path I'm trying to use is on an unavailable network. I completely unstillaed microsoft works 9 and now when I try to reinstall it tells me that it can't be installed in the chosen drive in this case C. The only thing that I did different was a couple of days before we moved i downloaded 4 share file but two days later I uninstalled it. I did checks on my drive and it says its clean. Oh and everytime I open a new window in the internet a little window flashes that says preparing to install and then it disappears.. What is wrong with my computer? I'm scared its done for.

Run a full scan with Malwarebytes

In addition try to System Restore to a point before the problem occurred.

Then connect to your new network only via the connection icon in bottom right System Tray, left clicking to find your network, or rightclicking to Troubleshoot why not.

Make sure you have Microsoft Security Essentials or a comparable competent AV installed and on guard.

I did the malware scan and got rid of the stuff. I tried doing a system restore but I got this message : System Restore failed while restoring the registry from the restore point. The restore point was damaged or was deleted during the restore. :sarc:

so nothing was changed. What else can I do?
