I'm having a blue screen of death problem. The computer I have a problem with is the computer that my brother custom built for me with Windows 7 Ultimate. It was working great several weeks ago. But since I needed to work at school a lot and used my laptop most of the time, I didn't use my main computer for a couple weeks. And when I did, I keep having this problem.

I get the blue screen just seconds after starting the computer. It doesn't matter if I log in, do nothing, or just leave the computer in the user log in screen. It just goes blue screen on me, and restarts. This just keeps happening every time I start up the computer. The only way the computer is usable again is after it restarts itself, and I am able to select safe mode.

I get this small notification window of the problem that says this:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

I have also attached photos of the blue screen. Does anybody know what I can do to solve this problem?

Disable this startup item:
Code:
SamsungRapidApp c:\program files (x86)\samsung\rapid\cachefilter\samsungrapidapp.exe Public HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Better you disable all the startup items. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
As all the programs are installed on your computer, you can call them anytime from Start > All programs. No need to let them run in the background always.

Report us for any further BSOD after doing it.

I did what you said. I turned off everything except the Microsoft Security Client. I even tried one round with absolutely everything off on startup. I made sure the Samsung RAPID Mode is turned off.

Sorry. I'm still getting the BSOD. No difference yet.

I'm sorry. What's the new data? And how do I get it?

Anyways, I just made another DM Log, and I'm posting it, if it's any different.

What you have posted is the new data.

And the BSOD is continuing blaming the same thing.

So disabling Rapid from startup is not enough here.

Open Samsung Magician. Click on Advanced Feature > Rapid Mode and disable it.
Report us for any further BSOD, following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions .

Awesome. I'm not getting the blue screen anymore. Thanks so much!

However, just one more question. What would I be losing by disabling the Rapid Mode from Samsung Magician? Anything I should be aware of? I'm pretty inept with programs that I don't use directly, so I can be pretty ignorant and even stupid about these things.
