Not sure if this have been discussed but I been looking for a couple of hours and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. So here it goes.

I have upgraded my HD to a Samsung SSD 840 EVO instead of mitigating my old drive to the new one I went for the fresh install on the new SSD. Now would to try and get my usernames and passwords used in IE 11 copied over from the old or exported to a readable file.
Where would these file be located on the old drive.

Any Help would be great.
Thanks

What usernames and passwords for IE 11, IE 11 doesn`t use usernames and passwords.

What are you talking about ?

Usernames and passwords should be written down.

IE, like most browsers, will remember userids and passwords for various sites. I'm sure that's what jruhl is talking about.

For instance, in Firefox, passwords are stored in the key3.db and signons.sqlitelogins.json files.

No idea where IE keeps them though.

Yes, I knew what he meant. :)

If Ztrucker`s suggestions can`t help, you can boot the hard drive and sign in to these sites to help with remembering.

Most sites use an email address as a username, your password for these sites should be stored in your head if you are not writing them down.

You can always login to them and change the password to a common one that you know and should remember easily.

Yes that is what I was asking. Sorry should have been more clear. Most of them are written down But I have a few that were missed and was hoping there was a way without rebooting the drive to retrieve them.

Thanks

You should keep all these common, no need to have all these different usernames, and especially the passwords.

You have the drive plugged in looking for these things, so what is the problem booting to it ?

It takes 1 key punch to get to the boot menu.
