New program will be gone after restart

I have a computer that given by my relative. Everytime i installed a software, it is successful. But everytime, i restart, the software is gone. Is it a kind of hard disk protection? Any idea how to solve beside format the the computer? Thank you.

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,

Check in Control Panel - Programs and features, and sort on date descending to see if the programs are there or not. Maybe it's only something wrong with the desktop and shortcuts or your user profile, and the programs are still installed.

I'm guessing it's probably easiest to ask your relatives if they know something about this.

Agree with Tookeri and seeing you have not had this machine from go I would be suspicious of how it has been used and would run these in this order
