so I'm back after my bad ram issue. Installed a new crucial M4 128gb SSD which has massively improved my performance but one day in I am BSOD'ing :(

I've noticed that windows updates and recovering from sleep mode are slow and jerky - the rest of the system is lightening and also noticed that with no apps open the cpu jumps to ~80% with the main culprit in task manager is "System Idle Process"

I've enabled Trim support and disable pre/super fetch on the SSD. I also enabled SATA 6gb on my mobo through the bios.

specs are:

Win 7 pro 64bit
core i7 2.8
8gb Ram (2 sticks)
128gb crucial m4 ssd

output from crash attached. Hope this isn't as serious as it is obviously related to my new install

hope someone can help me. thanks in advance :geek:

Hello 00sully & Welcome to SevenForums!

Yes, I did notice a disk error in your dump. Do you still have warranty on your Solid State Disk? As it's new, and there's errors on it, I'd send it back to the company and ask for a new one.

Best Regards,
FredeGail

thanks FredeGail :)

what is the nature of the error? you obviously think it's severe enough to return? I'll need something to tell the retailer and probably the proof - what part of the report should I look at?

Thanks again,

sul.

Yes, I understand what you mean.
Well, it doens't tell me anything specific, I'm sure the company can test it for errors and give you a result or something.
