Hi,

I build me a new system:

Win7 Ultimate
Asus Z87 Pro Board
i7 4770k (not overclocked)
His IceQ X2 GE Radeon HD 7970 (not overclocked)
Corsair 4x4GB (on the qualified vendor list of the z87 pro) 1866MHz (XMP Profil)
Be Quiet L8 630W
2 Samsung 840 ssd (1 is a Pro)

If I playing games, bf4 beta, bf3 ..... I have no problems, but if the sytem is idle I got bsod of different kinds.

I did some reinstall, but it didn't helped. I'm very very frustrated and a nervous wreck :(

Memtest86 and Memtest86+ found no errors.

Maybe someone can help me, please.

Thx for every help.

Greetings,
Alfred

Hi Clouseau219.

You have two two SSDs .... Samsung 840 series and Samsung 840 series Pro. Make it sure that both are running with up-to-date firmware.
How to Upgrade Samsung SSD Firmware | StorageReview.com - Storage Reviews

Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs.

If the scans comes free of infections, go for the rest ........

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Stress test the CPU.

Here the first resultes:

  • SSD's firmware are up to date
  • No virus or maleware found, system is clean
  • Now the strange part. I had the memtest86+ V5.0.1 running over night. But in over 8h it did only 4 passes ? My first test, with memtest86 and memtest86+ takes only 1h for a pass. 4 Passes in 8h seems a little bit slow?
  • The computer isn't hot. max temperature of cpu and gk is about 70°C (BF4 beta or AIDA stresstest)

In that case, you may try an older version of memtest.

Also enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

There are two DV enabled minidumps, and both of them are referring to Paragon Image Mounter (UIM) Plugin driver.

So now it is clear what was causing those storage related failures. You need to uninstall Paragon, at least as a test. And, Partition Manager may not be needed to be present all the times :)

Some display related issues are still present there.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings. Also set the BIOS to default, too.

Hi,

here are the next information's:

System is not overclocked. Memory is on xmp settings.

In the Fumark test, the gpu is about 75°C and the fan at 50%

I have uninstalled the Paragon Software. But in the Verifier Driver selection I still can see a Paragon driver.
I used it since 2 years without any problem.

I uninstalled all hidden non present devices.

Go back to start and don’t collect $200
I had do to a new install. I couldn't disable verifier, and could not boot the safe mode.

Now I'm at this state (Did a Paragon Backup but with Boot Media, so no drivers ;) ) :
  • Win 7 installes
  • Intel Chipset 9401026
  • Inter Management Engine Interface 95141724
  • Intel Lan driver 185540
  • Intel USB 3 host driver 25019
  • AMD Radeon HD driver 13-9
  • And driver from the Asus CD for a AMDA00 Interface (I don't know what it is)
  • ESET Endpoint Security
  • Google Chrome
  • IE 10

Verifier is now running and I will now install the missing Microsoft Updates

Probably no more verifier is needed.
