Hello Guys&Girls
I've recently built a new system with 2x2TB drives, one with my OS on and one with my Music etc on..

When i power on the machine, it starts to boot up, then throws an error message, instantly, then instantly reboots so i am unable to view it, and then it boots straight into windows, it's as if its trying to boot from the wrong hard drive.

I then installed Partition manager, to look at my drives, and this is what i got.

I thought maybe this is the problem, as disk 1 is not my C:

Any help please?
Thankyou

According to your screen shoot, Disk 1 has the system reserved partition, but your OS is installed to disk 2. Normally they would both be on the same drive.
What does disk management show?
What drive is set to boot from in the BIOS?

Yes only one operating system resides but was installed on disk 2 instead of disk 1 but the 100MB reservered partition which is installed with W7 will always be on the first partition of the first drive and contains data for bitlocker and startup repair should you need it.

Please follow windude99s instructions.

Would doing the startup repair, change my c: to disk 1 instead of 2?

Windude99's instructions are what you need to do, there will only be Disk 1 until you plug in the other drive after startup repair fixes your problem.

In the future, when installing W7, only have one drive run running on your machine!

Connect your other drives after the install.

The 100MB System Reserve is what Windows boots from.It then hands it off to your Windows OS partition, drive "C". They need to both reside on the same disk, Disk 0 (or 1 if you want). At the present time the system reserved is on one disk and your C drive is on the other. What Windude99 is trying to do is force Windows to write the system reserved partition to the correct disk. You can then delete the wrong system reserved partition, and you should have no problems booting then. As Windude asked, disconnect the drive with the current system reserved partition and run startup repair 3 times with attempted boots in between each time. Or if you would rather, connect the correct disk only, and do a clean install.

I would do a clean install with only one drive hooked up. That way every thing that should be on one drive to boot and run your operating system will be there. Then I would hood up the other drive and do a one pass wipe so it is clean and will not argue with the other drive. When your done Windows 7 and the System Reserve is on one drive as it should be and the second drive is there and clean for your storage.

Thanks for the help people, i opted for the easy solution and found my C: and formatted it, and unplugged the Backup of music, software, games etc, and Re-installed windows, deleted the partition 'boot' from the wrong drive and made a system image of my C: with everything on, Thankyou for the help, and rep on its way!
