Hi Forum members I need some help please. Win 7 Home 64 bit. My download of the Nic Collection does not work. After installing into Photoshop CS 4 64 bit and then using it the different collection options are displayed. But no matter which one I pick, a pop up appears which says Buy or exit. Buy gets you to the Nic site but as it is free no further option exists. I have tried 5 different times to download but it is always the same. I have uninstalled all Nic software instances every time including the registry. A long time ago I had a Nic trial but it expired long ago and I thought I had removed all traces of that trial software. I have looked through the web but my problem is not listed in any Nic /google fix it sites. I have the latest Nvidea driver for my G-force 760. Could you help me please?
Regards Peter

If you previously had a Nic trial, it's very possible that it left something in the registry when you uninstalled it. I'll bet that holdover has got the computer thinking that you've got the trial version and it's now expired, and it's expecting you to buy the program when you try to load the free version. It's pretty common with trial software.

You'll need to search the registry for any an all incidences of Nic software and get rid of it. That means a manual search.

Installed for me no problem.

From the help page:

After the installer has completed, your software will be available within the available host image editing applications. For previous owners of the Nik Software products, your Product Keys will no longer be required to access the software.

Note: If you are installing the Nik Collection over previous versions of the software, it is recommended to first export your custom and imported Presets and Recipes from Analog Efex Pro 2, Color Efex Pro 4, Silver Efex Pro 2, and HDR Efex Pro 2.

Hi, thank you for the replies. The problem is solved. It was the old trial Nik Collction hiding in C:\users\peter\appdata\local. Win 7 home. Once deleted, as well as "all" other instances of Nik Collction from Computer including the new download of free Nik Collction recently. Re-download from https://dl.google.com/edgedl/photos/nikcollection-full-1.2.11.exe. All is well. Thank you for the help. Regards Peter

I just downloaded the free Nic Collection 3 days ago. Since then every program I try to access opens w/a black box w/large red lettering - "INVALID IMAGE". It has invaded every program on my computer. I am only online thru a circuitous route. Have tried to roll back the computer to before the download, w/not let me do it. Anyone else had these issues? Help would be appreciated.
