This is a recent problem. I have a USB mic that has been working great until about a week ago. I can't recall any installation or removal of programs that might have caused this issue.

NOTE : I have a separate Headset that I can use until this is fixed and the headset has no issues with the sound/recording.

Here is what I have tried to fix the USB mic :
1) Hooking up the USB mic to another computer - mic works
2) Uninstalling the driver, rebooting - does not work
3) looking through the device manager and uninstalling there - doesn't work
4) the usb mic is not recognized by audacity (not in the list of mics)
5) Audio properties > recording > does not show the mic

It makes the bu-bump noise when plugged into the usb. So I am not sure what has been corrupted or what has happened to cause this but I would like to get it fixed. Any ideas?
