No Audio after reinstalling Windows 7

Hi!

I have reinstalled my Windows 7 x64 today, using a flash drive. Once the installation was finished, I immediately proceeded to AMD website to look for new drivers for my Radeon HD5670. I installed them with ease in a few minutes, computer rebooted, and I was a happy camper... until I tried going on YouTube, when I realized my monitor was giving off no sound. I never had any troubles with the sound, it always worked properly before the reinstallation. I have tried absolutely everything for the past 6 hours: I installed and reinstalled CCC, beta version of CCC, Realtek AMD HDMI, googled for hours, unplugged HDMI cables back in forth, and must have restarted about 50 times.

This is not the way I envisioned Windows 7 reinstallation would be like. I wanted to start from a clean slate, instead I was given hemorrhoids. I know a lot of people have had these issues, and I tired following the steps they were given in other threads, but to no avail... Please help!

You do not have the correct sound drivers installed, from looking at what you posted. Windows 7 will install some drivers and Windows will usually just install generic sound drivers (High Definition Sound Device) but in most cases vendor specific sound drivers are needed. If you have RealTek audio then you need the PC vendor's RealTek sound driver (non-vendor RealTek drivers many times do not work). Same way with your video card, you need the Video card vendor's video/sound drivers for proper operation.

Ok, but why won't the generic High Definition Audio Device produce any sound? Even when everything else is uninstalled?

I'm gonna listen to johhnymarshall's advice for the time being, and I'll let you know if I get any sound upon reinstallation.

You need to take "firebirds" advice...and download you sound driver from your computer manufacturer website.

When doing a reinstall of an OS you have to download all system hardware drivers...ie graphics driver, chipset driver -(with some brands the chipset driver will include LAN driver and a few others), wireless drives and so on.

If you fill in your system specs we can help you locate the correct drivers for you.

Unfortunately I don't see a Cyberpower vendor web page. I see it listed at Amazon, newegg, etc but no actual PC manufacturer web page. Thus I can't link you to the vendor drivers for this brand.

As I previously mentioned, many times you need Vendor (or motherboard vendor) specific drivers for some devices such as sound. Do you know who/what model the motherboard is?

I'm sorry it took forever, but since it was the first reboot it needed to install a bunch of updates. I was kinda hoping they would help somehow, but nope.

Anyway, this is the text written right on the motherboard, hope it helps you help me lol:
