Ok so I've been looking into this for a while now, and I cant seem to fix this.

My laptop randomly just crashes. It doesnt give a bluescreen, it doesnt do anything weird. Its just as if someone pulled out the power. This happens both on battery and when plugged in.

Now I've looked up into EventID 41 and it gives back this post: Windows Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2
If you look in that post my problem has all the conditions of method 3.

The reason I came here is cause after the steps there I hit the wall.

  • Overclocking: Not overclocking at all. The cpu has a default turbo clock though.
  • Check the memory: Done a while ago when this problem occurred, just not as often as now. Didnt seem to be problems back then.
  • Power supply: Well... Its a laptop and it happens both on battery and on cable. But the battery seems fine. I can run my laptop for around 8~ hours without charging.
  • Overheating: Could be a problem. My laptop is known to hit over 100 degree celcius on the cpu. Although it just happened on the first start after a nights rest. Which means this shouldnt be the problem.
  • Defaults: Did not want to resort to this just yet. Alot of work on this laptop and since my backup disk crashed I cant backup it yet.

I hope this makes my problem clear and that I posted in the correct section. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi.

You say that CPU core touches 100°C, that is dangerously close to TJMax.
Run Prime95 (64 bit or 32 bit).
Check your core temps using RealTemp.
Let it run for aboput 30 mins. See if that causes a reboot and note the max temps.

As I said, I know it reaches that temprature, but this is only under very, very high load. (Read full stress test)
It also restart after sitting for a night (which means its completely cooled down). And then right after the boot. Without doing anything. The core sits at about 40 degree then.

I honestly doubt if this can be my problem. But I'll check out the links you put in.

Thanks for the reply

EDIT:
The cpu becomes a maximum of 75 degree. I can only get it to go way higher when I stress both my GPU and CPU (Who use the same cooler in this laptop). I can stress my cpu without problems for an extended time.

Just crashed while stressing CPU. Let it cool down and starting working on it and it crashed again. No logs apart from the one shown before.
