Hi,

Since I installed this (english) win7 pro x64 the keystroke ctrl + alt + 5 to get the euro sign does no longer work.
Previously I had an upgraded win 7 pro x86, then it all worked fine.

I tried some other keystroke's like alt + 5 but they all don't seem to work.
In device manager I tried updating the drivers, but they seem to be up to date. My language is set to US-international, which it should be I think.

Since I'm working on a laptop I can't try the alt-0128.

Anyone got an idea, on how I can get it back?

Thanks!

The ctrl-alt-5 works for my W7 Home Premium x64. I have the language set to US English and the keyboard set to US English International.

Look under Region and Language in the Control Panel. You may need to add the International keyboard as an entry method.

Hello and welcome to SevenForums.

You need to change the Keyboard layout. Do you remember what layout you had on your x86 installation.

To change the keyboard layout, go to start -> Configuration Panel. Then, in "Clock, language and region" category, click the link available under.

If you have your control Panel in big icons mode, click on "Region and language" and click on the tab "Keyboards and language".

I think I have all this set the right way.
My "default input language" is set to : "English (United States) -US",
And under the installed services I had to add the US- international, but still it won't work.
I also tried to set the default input language as US- international.

Am I missing something?

Oh, with the language bar I could more easily change the format, and now it does seem to work!
Weird that changing it in the control panel didn't work:s

Thanks for the help anyway!

I was only going by my keyboard, which is UK English. Having said that, I'm glad that it is now working for you. :)
