No icons and taskbar on screen

After installing video card driver there is nothing on the screen, only the Windows 7 wallpaper. No icons and no taskbar. Please help.

Pull the card, uninstall the drivers.

Start again, there is no reason for this problem.

No taskbar and icons on desktop

I installed a new copy of Windows 7 64-bit and installed all the updates. Now when I boot the system I get the Windows wallpaper without any icons and taskbar, no even the Start button. Please help me to fix this.

Right click on the task bar, click properties and make sure "auto hide the taskbar" is unchecked
If you can't access the taskbar click start, run and type in taskbar. There you can customise it

As default after a clean install the task bar should be there.
But take a look like lffoar posted to make sure of the settings.

What icons are you look for and where are you looking. On a clean install their will be few icons on the desktop.

Did you activate Windows 7?

Have you installed any programs?

Where did you get your copy of Windows 7?
It's starting to sound like the install media was corrupt.

** I think you know where I'm coming from; we need information in order to give guidance.
