I was playing around with Virtual Box on my Win7 PC and installed a Linux OS inside of Virtual Box. During the OS install, I must have opted to modify the boot records as it hosed my PC and I can no longer boot Win7.

When I boot, it just goes to a black screen with a blinking cursor at the top left.

I have tried using the Win7 System Repair utility on the installation disk by running bootrec /fixmbr, bootrec /fixboot, and bootrec /rebuildbcd. When I run bootrec /rebuildbcd, it states "Total identified Windows installations: 0".

Windows 7 is definitely on the C: drive as I can see it when switching to C:, but I'm not sure why it's not being recognized. Here's what bcdedit reports:

Windows Boot Manager
----------------------
identifier {bootmgr}
device partition=C:
description Windows Boot Manager
locale en-US
default {default}
displayorder {default}
timeout 30

Windows Boot Loader
---------------------
identifier {default}
device partition=C:
path \Windows\system32\winload.exe
description Windows 7 Professional (recovered)
locale en-US
recoverysequence {2ee359b9-d422-11e3-8d61-c9b76251009e}
recoveryenabled Yes
osdevice partition=C:
systemroot \Windows

Any ideas?
