PC comes out of sleep mode all the time (every 1/2 hr or so) some program must be doing this. I reset power mgmt to factory defaults, no help. I ran powercfg -lastwake, no results, even right after my screen pops up out of sleep. Looked at msconfig startup, didn't see anything unsual. Looked at task management - processes, nothing unusual, but not sure. Help please!!

This can be caused by many issues, but most notably "Wake on LAN". It basically means that any network traffic will cause your computer to wake up.

You can disable it:

Start > Search "Device Manager" > Network Adapters > Choose your network adapter > Right Click > Properties > Power Management > Turn off "Allow this device to wake the computer"

You can go through and do the same for any other device you might think are waking the computer. However, if you disable all devices you'll have to use the power button to wake the computer instead of wiggling the mouse or tapping a key.

As mentioned above, many other things can wake a computer out of sleep mode including but not limited to:

Input Devices (Mice, Keyboards, Tablets, etc)
Hard Disk Activity
Network Activity
Software
Connecting/Unconnecting a USB Device

Hi,

"Wake on LAN", this could also be in your BIOS settings. When the computer begins to restart Press F1 key or the F2 key .
