No Sound Card Driver fails install

I've been searching the internet for a few days now and I still cannot find the way to get my sound card to work. I have tried many different drivers and now that I'm set on keeping 7 I just need to figure this out.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on my HP DV8000. Here is my id info for my audio card so if somebody could help me find the right driver that would be great.

I've tried following instructions from an older thread but I can't seem to get IE8 to download ActiveX controls so I can find the driver myself. All the old links to drivers in the older thread are gone now.

I had to custom make this for you.

Install by right clicking audio device in the device manager. Update driver software. Browse. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Find the .inf.

Click on the .inf (or double click) in navigation pane and let it install.

You will have to Google for a way to permanently disable driver signing enforcement. If you can't (it exists), use f8 to start your machine.

Let me know how it goes. I can try something else if this fails. Should be good though.

This is not a reply but a question about the same subject!

I can't get my audio driver to work and I also tried many different drivers.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 on my IBM MT-M 8189. Here is my id info for my audio card so if somebody could help me find the right driver that would be great.

No Sound Driver is installed apart from - High Definintion Audio Device
I hear sound OK, But cannot get my microphone working ........

Any help would be much appreciated

Hello,

i have also the hp pavilion dv8000 and i am running win 7 ultimate x64 and no audio driver for it...

i have downloaded the attached *.rar file which contains the driver for the dv8000 in torrentg's post. but windows says it dont work "driver is damaged or cant be loaded" ... i can select the driver and it installs but it doesent work -.-

also i have turned in addition the test mode on which allows me to install unsigned drivers but i doesnt work -.-

is here anyone who kann help me? the attached driver for the dv8000 in this thread CANT work... dont know how people can hear sound with him...

you might want to check for the hp site for your drivers..until someone upload one for you..

I have old dv8000, EW919EA#ABD, DV8289EA and after clean install of w7 x64 have problem with sound.
- no audio output device is installed -

in device menager is recognized as realtek HD audio
is there any driver for x64 OS?
