No sound on Windows 7

I don't have any system audio at all on Windows 7 Home Premium Edition.
The Troubleshooter has not provided any answers, except for a reference to a generic sounding Intel high definition audio driver. I have not been able to locate this driver on the Intel web page or elsewhere online.

Thanks for any help in enabling audio on my edition of Windows 7.

Have you tried reinstalling the audio driver?

A reinstall from the install disc solved the problem. Thanks.
