not able to install avast 4.8 in windows7 ultimate 7260

somebody please help....i am not able to install avast 4.8 professional edition into my win7 ultimate build 7260..please help me soon

What exactly is happening when you try to install?


Have you ever installed it before on any other builds? Do you already have another AV program installed and running? Did you try right clicking on the setup and going to properties- Unblock- and Compatibility- Run as an admin?

getting no error..the setup is just not starting....i was using it previously on vista basic....but now not able to install on 7

yes i tried everything you suggested but still not getting the installation window

get rid of your previous download, restart your computer, download it again from Avast, unblock it and run it as admin when you go to install it. See if it works.
