Not allowing me to ADD music?

I like the new media center a lot and I wanted to know how do I add my songs on it? I have a bunch of CD's that I want to add to it but it will not let me drag them into the media center. I click explore and try to drag the files in and still nothing. Can you not do this? Must I buy all my music again?


Also how do I use the Live TV setting? Do I need to buy something for it?

Not sure what you are trying to do there, what do you mean a bunch of CD's, do you mean you have a bunch of MP3's in a folder you want to add, if so right click on the folder and select the add to library option and add it to the music library and it should then be found by Media center as well as Media player.

Have you tried to add them to the Library yet?

As far as your CD's go they will need to be Ripped again in order to add them to the Media Center.

That would require a TV tuner card, the right cable, and some other stuff.

I'm not sure, mostly because I prefer an actual TV.

What do you want to do with it? If you want to simply watch analog TV on your computer you'll need a tuner card. I just pretend the internet is a giant TiVo and use SecondRun.tv - Internet TV Plug-In for Windows Media Center - SecondRun Home Page with Media Center to watch all the shows I want whenever I want.
