Greetings!

I have a problem when installing a windows update that i downloaded in the microsoft website - namely windows6.1-KB976932-X86, so that i can update my windows 7 into windows 7 sp1. But the installation was not successful, and saying that not enough storage to process this command. I search the web to know how to fix this, like changing the IRPStackSize in registry from default of 15 into 25. But it doesnt seems to work.
I found this beautiful site, that may solve my problem.
Hope that anyone can help me on this.

Also tried the SURT.
I already tried sfc scan, but there's no error in integrity of it.
Thank you, God bless to you all. :)

4. Click Windows Update
5. Click Check for Updates (This may be down the left hand side) or click Install Updates
6. If it dosent find it, have a look at Hidden Updates (This is down the left hand side)

I am not using any tune-up/registry utilities, if c-cleaner doesnt count as one of them, then maybe not.

I am not using any antivirus right now, because my laptop was already infected with an aplikasi virus, which shortcuts the folders, sometimes, due for not noticing the infected usb, which I inserted into it, and accidentally installed the virus. Everytime i installed an AV, it triggers the duplication of folders, and it didnt ever removed the virus. I know the only solution to this is clean install of windows os. But im fine with it. As long as it never hinders my usage of my computer.

This is a very old laptop, i am using it for my studies, because i have my notes in here.

Here is my specs copied from dxdiag diagnostics.

Hi Cygnus,
run malwarebytes(free) uncheck the trial option, but in the dashboard tick enable rootkit detection.
then run Eset on line, (dissable any other AV).

That should hopefully get rid of aplikasi, which i believe will be the root cause of your problem.

I would suggest trying to get more free space. Windows 7 will not install SP-1 until Windows 7 sees the free space it desires.

Windows 7 doesn't do a lot of things properly without having at least 10% free space or more.
Which means that your system would need 10% free space after SP-1 was installed.

Use this tutorial by Brink to fill in your system specs properly.

It is already fixed, there was no error in free up space, it was another type of storage error, that layman brain type people wont understand.
