Here is the patch for your x64 iso:

Extract the zip. Then copy the WIN7x64.iso into the same folder



Run the svfx extractor



It creates the important file with correct hashes, which can be patched. For example, it can be patched to any of the languages.

ok i got the windows 7 iso, i have questions,
to burn it to dvdr, do i need to format the dvdr? if yes does it need fat32 or ntfs?
for a backup incase it doesnt take dvd in the boot thing, i have windows 10 on the batman usb drive, can i just dump that onto a dvd and then move the windows 7 iso onto it? it was formatted and filled by a microsoft tech after an update they pushed bricked the system i used that has windows 10(temporarily retired till i can get a new cord for it, i heard the power supply of that win10 one sounding like popcorn)

Put a dvd in. Rt click the iso file and select Burn disc image

No.

You could create a bootable iso file from the contents of the usb stick, then burn that bootable iso as an image to a dvd.
That is because a dvd needs something called the El Torito bootsector or it won't be bootable.

That looks expensive for a 1tb mechanical disk.

Shame ssd are a bit pricey at that size. They make a noticeable difference.

A patch is not expected to "find" an iso.

You have to tell the extractor where the source iso is located.

im not sure what the right words are for this question, but how do i know what drive will be in use whenever i can afford a new drive? do new ones default to the dvd drive? or is there something set in the rest of the machine to say "dvd drive" or "sd drive" or "usb drive"? i want to make sure that i know what media is going to work for what i need to do

Drive order is set in the BIOS, access to that on my computer is <F2> this is not the same as the below instructions which is a one time boot choice. Say you wish to boot from CD/DVD one time and not change normal boot order.

If you wish to boot from a different drive, say CD/DVD instead of C: Drive,
Start the computer and begin pressing <F9> (that is the key on my HP Desktop) repeatedly in approximately 1 second intervals
If you move the selection arrow to say CD/DVD it will boot from that once.
If you change the boot order, i.e. move a device to top of menu, that will be the first drive to attempt booting. If the drive is not bootable, or say it is CD/DVD drive with no media, the next device will try to boot.

The boot order starts with Windows Boot Manager, as it appears in the screenshot, boot from CD/DVD is selected (see the -> next to CD/DVD) to boot when enter is pressed and it boots from CD/DVD. This is a one time action, and the boot order will remain starting with Windows Boot Manager.

To change boot order permanently, or until you wish to change it again, you press the <F2> key, enter the BIOS, select boot tab change boot order exit.

a bit late, but i finally managed to get a new drive, thank y'all for your help with the information, i need a little more though, i got the os installed but cant activate the windows 7 os, i used the cd key on the bottom of the laptop, since it didnt activate i tried the one that was on it when i was given the laptop(a buddy gave me a tool to get it before i changed drives), still didnt work so he had an unused copy or something that had a key, (he has vista, and there was something about a free upgrade that came with it, he still has vista on it so thee key was never used), and still no luck, is there a tool that will fix this or some work around?

What is the exact make and model of the machine? Your specs just say "sony". Likely it came with a slic table, which entitles running windows 7. But we need to know the model. There are lots of sony vaio variations. Did it come from from the factory with win7 home premium? We can find out from the model name and number - but you need to tell us what it is.
