My computer is set to sleep after 30mins of not in use, however latley it has not being doing that. I have no idea why it doesnt.

The only new program that been added to my PC is Office 2010. I had office 2010 before but i enabled outlook. So im thinking its got something to do with outlook, but i dont know. I can find any options in setting.

Do you have any ideas?

Edit: By the way i leave the App open. If i close it, my PC will sleep. But before i had outlook i had WLM and i could leave it open and my PC would sleep. Does anyone know a way for outlook to do this?

Mitch, by "I leave the App open" ... do you mean Outlook? If that's the case... your answer could be quite simple... look at the settings in Outlook for synching for new mail. If it does that for say, every 10 mins, and your sleep setting is per 30 mins of inactivity...

I know... but there's a difference between Outlook and WLM in that Outlook synch will cause HDD activity when mails are found and synched. I'm not sure, still checking, but it wouldn't surprise me if WLM 'doesn't count' as a sleep inhibitor :)

Just as a test, could you try setting Outlook to check for mail every 60 mins or so...and see if it sleeps..

If this is not it.. then we'll have to look at the powerplan, advanced settings, and see what is waking you up could even be the NIC
