Yeah, I logged on with Safe Mode again and it all worked. And when I try to do a system restore, the earliest restore point is 9/15/2010. I bought the computer in November of 09, and noticed the problem 2 months later. How do I restore it to a point earlier then the options it gives me.

Step 7 will show how to view all your restore points. If the date that you need is not shown you will not be able to use System Restore to solve your problem
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html

I will not be available for a few weeks, I will give you to someone who is very nice and will help all that he can.

Your money is no good here.
Did you follow the instructions or do you think that you may have done something wrong?

At this point, given that it is an OEM system, I would consider a clean install. Any system will run better this way, than compared to how it comes from the OEM. If you don't want to do this, or can't do this, you should have restore discs (or should have made them) when you bought the computer. I'd consider backing up your data, and restore.

But the restore won't work, because the problem was before the earliest restore date. And my laptop didn't come with any Windows 7 install disk, so I can't reinstall Windows. :/

Is there any other way to reinstall windows 7, or set it to original settings?
