Notice: Office Professional Plus 2010

Saw this notice on Technet about the early downloads of Office 2010.
Did not see it posted on the Forum. So FYI here it is from Technet Home Page.

ATTENTION
If you downloaded RTM versions of Office Professional Plus 2010 or Visio Professional 2010 between April 22 and May 1 please obtain a new product key. Your current product key does not unlock full functionality; we apologize for the inconvenience. No additional download required. See the KB article for instructions on how to re-enter a product key. Your key allocation will not be impacted.
Subscribers who obtained product keys after May 1 have the correct keys.

Anyone else run into a problem entering a new key? I ran setup, chose enter product key, typed in the new and it did it's thing. When it finished I got a message saying it did not complete successfully. I tried 2 different key finders (jellybean and winkey finder) but neither show Office 2010. Any ideas how to proceed?

Early Office Pro 2010 Downloads

Perhaps one of you admin guys could make a sticky out of this? One would not know about full functionality until something would not work. I used my file download date to determine whether I needed a new key or not.

I don't know for sure, just a thought as this is one of the best and greatest forums I have ever been associated with. The members on here are extremely helpful and knowedgable, and no one seems to get slammed. Just my .02

I don't know what's going on! I used method 2 and it seemed to work but when I checked the product key with ProduKey it still had the old one. I tried to repair office but I got the incomplete error again. I'm gonna download office again, uninstall with Revo and start fresh I think.

UPDATE: Uninstalling was a nightmare. Continual errors. I ended up using Revo and after it failed ran the scan and deleted everything from the registry. Re installation was then easy and I was able to use the new key.

Hello Toughbook,

You can look in Programs and Features in the Control Panel (icons view) to see when it was "Installed on" for that program.
