Hi, I cant get anything to download off the internet... I get NSIS ERROR.

It also says "The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete...........

same here...

I have the 64bit version, firefox 3.0.8. First I thought it was firefox, but then I had trouble with some files which I unzipped with windows, which didn't work also, but did when I used another software (izarc), so it must be a windows bug. help, please.

You're downloading Flash. Not "anything" and the Adobe servers were choking the other day resulting in partial downloads. Use IE to download the file you're interested and you'll see that it works fine.

Did anyone ever stop to read the error message? If this is posted appropriately, you too are having trouble with Nullsoft installer. It's internal CRC checker says the file is corrupt. It probably is. Download another copy of the file from somewhere else.

The other possibility is that you've overclocked the hell out of your memory and are teetering at the brink of system instability. CRC errors also occur due to excessive O/C.

same issues

I'm having the same trouble and more. I am using a fresh install of 7. I am using explorer. I have not been able to download firefox. I managed to successfully download and install Chrome and only through that was I able to successfully download and install Gtalk.

I could not run the exe for rhapsody, but I was able to run a copy of it from my old system. But when I got rhapsody installed I got endless scripting errors and had to shut it down from the taskbar.

I had World of Warcraft installed and I can log into the game. When I've logged in my friends can see that I'm online and I can move around just fine - but my system is getting no info back from the server so I cannot see anyone else moving around the world and cannot interact within the game.

I installed 7 over the top of the pre-release. I have reinstalled it on a blank partition. No matter. Same problems. I did not have these problems with the pre-release.

Oh - I also completely disabled Windows firewall as well as tried using the NCRC command line switch to bypass the download issues but to no avail

Sorry to vomit out all my system's issues, but I figured these problems are all related, I can't find my Vista discs and I am ready to toss my computer out the window.

Same Error

Hi Folks,

if i download any File, (Firefox, Thunderbird, OpenOffice, AntiVir,... or any other File) also from different sources, and try to Install these Programs, i ll recieve the NSIS Error:

NSIS Error: Installer Integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy.

Using Firefox or IE8 didnt make any difference. I cleared the Cache before downloading.

Edit: No OC! And Everything is original, no Cracks or other things are installed..
NOD32 64bit version was installed, but i deinstalled it but it doesnt help.
In an other Forum i read to try the "SFC" command. SFC found errors and could not repair themself. How can i fix this? Can this be the reason for this error?

Exception: When i dowload Zip or Rar files, they are working fine

Thx in advance

If the software was obtained from the Internet

Clear your browser's cache.
Done-doesnt help

Disable any download accelerators or managers and download the installer again.
Not applicable

Rename the installer so it is a simple one-word name with no special characters (without removing the .exe suffix)
Example: install.exe
Done-doesnt help

Download the installer from another source approved by the software developer or publisher.
Havent found a solution for this

It might be corrupted on the server, or the connection to the server is unreliable from your location.
Have downloaded from several Servers/Mirrors/Websites - same error

Update your anti-virus software (if installed) and download the installer again.
Done-doesnt help

Disable your anti-virus software and download the installer again.
Done-doesnt help

Download the installer using another computer and copy it to the original computer.
works fine - but not really a solution

If you have the nVidia firewall installed, uninstall the program and download the installer again.
Not applicable

Scan for, and remove malware and viruses on your system.
Done-doesnt help-found nothing

Scan the hard drive using scandisk, chkdsk, or any other hard drive repair tool.
SFC-found defect files, scandisk-chkdsk found nothing but MemTest found errors

Ill now install Windows 7 again with only one RAM Module. I found that one seems to be produce errors.

Ill keep you updated..

Comment on sfc /scannow command: i was wondering why sfc found after every scan new files to repair, than i started a Memtest..

Btw... many thanx for your fast replies and tipps..

I'm not experienced with this problem.

I was wondering if the bad RAM is removed SFC- Scannow might do the repair and downloads might work right with that stick gone.
Might be worth a check before a new install.

You might get by with a repair. Boot the Win 7 CD and try repair instead of install.

Just suggestions.

It doesnt helped...

I installed Win7 3 times after my last post...

it seems that i have a real HW problem...

S.M.A.R.T. Says the Harddisk is OK.. Stresstests of the HD doesnt produce errors

Memtest means i ve errors on the RAM Modules... I replaced them two times right now and these memory errors are still present...

Mainboard: Done a Bios Update and used very konservative RAM Settings. This doesnt help either. so i ordered a new Mainboard to try if maybe this can be the error... I hope it will arrive on Tuesday...

Until then ill try to insatall a Unix OS to test a bit around..

Next time i think ill prefer to buy a Dell/Acer or something like that... Havent had such hughe problems with setting up a new PC in the last 20 years...

EDIT:
I fixed it... i changed the motherboard but the error was still present...so i changed the RAM modules again... the new ones workes fine and no Nsis error anymore....
