nVIDIA 310M VS. Intel HD graphics

hello everyone

I have a laptop equipped with nVIDIA 310M GPU and Intel HD graphics, the one is working now is Intel HD.
I downloaded a game Demo for Crysis 2 from Steam, when I try to play it a message comes up saying: Unsupported video card detected etc... and in the bottom of the message: Intel HD graphics: [vendor id = 0x8086, 6device id = 0x0046]

how can I play the game with nVIDIA GPU not Intel's GPU??
there is no switch button in my laptop like other laptops have.

From what I can see yours uses the switchable graphics that should switch automatically based on required usage,

Do you have the latest driver for both installed? If not go here,

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Notebooks - ASUS K42JC

to get them as both are required for it to work. Also don't use the reference Intel or Nvidia driver as they haven't been written to work with the switching, only get them from Asus.
