Nvidia Drivers Install - Blank Screen

The past couple of times I have installed nvidia drivers on my computer it will go to a blank screen and I have to hold down the power button and restart the computer. After restarting it seems that the drivers installed.

I am in the process of rebuilding my machine now, but was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

Mine has gone black during the install but just for maximum a minuite.. it comes back to ask me to reboot

I am impatient - lol

I will wait for a minute or two next time and see if it comes back. This might be one of the reasons when playing games my FPS drop and the only way to get them back is to restart my PC.

I've not had this issue. Are you using the drivers from the NVidia site, or 3rd party modded ones?
