NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT & Desktop Performance 4.8...?

I can't understand why I am only getting a 4.8 on the Desktop Performance For Windows with my NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT

I mean for a card I paid good money for I would think that the graphics would be better than they are. I have my settings running correctly but still it should be better.

I have done a driver update and its still the same, is there anything else I can do without having to purchase another card..?

Hate to say it but that number sounds about right for what is essentially the lowest of the low end DirectX 10 cards from Nvidia. To give you an idea,

and no, no amount of driver updates or much of anything else will improve it.

Thanks for the info buddy, So this is the bottom of the range for this graphics card..? Reason I ask is because I was told by the guy in store that this was top of the range. Obviously another gullable customer...Lol.

Also what graphics card would you recommend for a web developer and graphic designer..? I need something that will give me enough performance and image quality to do my job correctly.

I can't believe how much this card has come down in price either. I paid £129.99 GBP just over a year ago and now it's like £35 GBP which is a HUGE difference.

i have 2x 8500gt's running in sli mode on my pc graphics is 4.8 gaming graphics is 6.9 ,i personally would not take a lot of notice of the WEI score it is only an indicator , try a 3rd party app like 3dmark to see what the frame rate is like,that's a better comparrison hope that helps you

That's pretty accurate, considering it's on the lower end spectrum of Graphics cards as mentioned beforehand,

If it's any solace, my 9600 GT only gets 6.8...Clocked. >.<

Nope, bone stock, tried Rivatuner to OC it but no luck, so i've just left it.

Nope, bone stock, tried Rivatuner to OC it but no luck, so i've just left it.

I have my clocks sitting at 740 Mhz Core and 1155 Mhz Memory Bus.

I bought this card for sixty bucks, man. >.<

My bro has twin 295's...

Are you sure? mine was still 5.1 even when my CPU was running stock @2.60GHZ...

Even ran 5.1 still with my old OC'd E5300 @3.0GHZ.

Overclocked as in 'Increased clock speed'?

And there's special 3rd party programs you can use, such as RivaTuner.

Actually he was referring to overclocking the CPU which will raise the graphics score substantially but for that to happen you need also need a substantial overclock on the CPU like going from 3.0GHz to 4.05Ghz. Overclocking the GPU makes very little difference in the WEI score. I get a 7.2 rating on both grapics and gaming with my single GTX280 because of my CPU overclock.
