OCZ ram compatibility causing screen flickering

I have 4x2GB OCZ Platinum DDR2 PC2-8500 1066Mhz Ram. Currently when I run 8GB it causes screen flickering in games, when using 4GB it is fine. I will try 6GB ram today.

Have you tried different combinations of sticks (I.E. 1,2 2,3 3,4 1,3 1,4 2,4), to see if it is a particular stick of RAM?

I just tested 6GB and that worked fine so I will switch the other stick now.

Okay so I am pretty sure it's one of the sticks because I swapped the working 6GB configuration with one of them and it's starting to flicker. I was using the same memory slot on my motherboard too. Is my next step RMA?

Where did you buy the RAM?

I bought it at MSY to be exact which is a store in Brisbane. The bad thing is I might not have my receipt, have to check some filing cabinets though. It was a couple years ago.

OCZ has a somewhat tedious RMA process in my experience, but they do honor their warranty.
