The referenced member is used for sample purposes only. I was looking at his profile to see what city he lived in when I noticed the rep value.

The reputation and rep power explanation does not indicate that reputation points are accumulated systematically. It does illustrate how rep altering power is accumulated systematically.

I am just curious and have no practical need to understand. My skewed perspective simply jumped to an odd conclusion. Members like the recently deceased Spazzie can develop a positive reputation simply by maintaining an active account and posting anything, whether those postings were worthy of a positive reputation or not.

Another possible conclusion - by some mechanism, Latest Reputation Received may reflect only a single award in some circumstances.

And I am sure Spazzie is a fine human being in his own right.
